Jamie Lynn Spears has sent a baby gift to Bristol Palin.

According to a source that works at the baby store, Petit Tresor, “It was ordered by phone, and they asked what could be done for under $100. They spent $60 on pink burp cloths.” The cloths were embroidered with skull and cross bones images as well as “Love”, “Yummy”, “Babe” and “Loved”.
A note was included: “Dear Bristol, Hang in there! XXOO, Jamie Lynn Spears.”

Last night, Harper’s held a shindig to celebrate their September 2008 covergirl in New York City. And Tyra Banks looked lovely in a black floor-length dress as she arrived to pose in front of the magazine cover.

Miss Banks will be featured in the September Issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

Bristol Palin Underage Drinking Pics

Alleged pictures of Bristol Palin, who is five months pregnant and 17 years-old, have surfaced showing her drinking alcohol while she is underage. Bristol is the daughter of Sarah Palin, who is John McCain’s vice presidential running mate. It appears Sarah has a teenager in her family, who is a lot like many teenagers in many normal families. This gives women who have troubled teenagers another reason to identify with Sarah, and this gives Sarah credibility when she speaks about dealing with troubled teenager issues. Experience matters to mothers and women in America.
The father of Bristol Palin’s baby has been identified as Levi Johnston (18), pictured below, who has also been called Levi Wallner by other media reports. Levi and Bristol have been dating for about a year in their hometown Wasilla, Alaska. On his MySpace Levi says:

"I’m a f - - -in’ redneck" who likes to snowboard and ride dirt bikes, but I live to play hockey. I like to go camping and hang out with the boys, do some fishing, shoot some s- - - and just f - - -in’ chillin’ I guess."
"Ya f - - - with me I’ll kick your a$$."

On his MySpace Levi says he’s "in a relationship," but also says, "I don’t want kids."
Which means he wasn’t expecting Bristol to get pregnant. Maybe the condom broke, or maybe he forgot to wear one if both Levi and Bristol were drinking at the time. This sounds like so many teenagers I knew growing up.
Bristol may not be the perfect daughter, but because of Bristol, her mother Sarah can relate to average women and mothers across America.

Natalie Portman Debuts as a Director

Following a night in which she was honored for her humanitarian ways, Natalie Portman attended her debut as a director in “Eve” as she opened the short films section of the Venice Film Festival on Monday (September 1).
Dressed casually in a t-shirt and jeans, the “My Blueberry Nights” sweetheart arrived to the the Westin Excelsior Resort by boat - posing for pictures and greeting fans on her way inside.

As for “Eve”, the short film concerns “a young woman named Kate, who visits her grandma Lola for dinner, and is surprised to find her grandma is on a date with a man named Joe.”



The cast for the romantic comedy includes American film actress and former model, Lauren Bacall, as well as “Anatomy of a Murder” star Ben Gazzara.
